Greenhouse and Life Update
When I posted the news about starting the greenhouse build and the first few pictures, I was so excited that this project would be up and done in two to three weeks. Well let me tell you, life had other plans.
First, the greenhouse did not arrive with all of the pieces. They sent us 2 different inside closures (R&U) and we got 6 panels cut for placement under the windows instead of only 4, so we are currently short 2 full length panels. Steve @ Mueller in Tucson has been more than helpful and he got us the correct R foam closures, but unfortunately the 2 full panels are being shipped from Texas and we do not have an ETA on those. So I'm frustrated to say the least, but accidents do happen and Muellar has been amazing to work with.
Of note with the mueller greenhouse build, the instructions printed and online say that you have to cut the window pieces in this field. This is no longer accurate, double check your panel counts and sizes as it appears now everything comes cut to fit.
Now, if that wasn't bad enough, on November 10th my husband got up at 3 am to get ready for work, walked into the bathroom and we had water. Turns out the world is attempting to teach this middle aged woman patience, despite all my years of resisting LOL. So he had to gut the bathroom, order a new vanity and linen cabinet, replace and repair sheet rock and repaint.
Another side note, while Home Depot may be lacking in a lot of areas, however their color match technology at the paint counter saved the day and we didn't have to repaint the entire bathroom.
Another realization is just how expensive stuff has gotten, my oh my, are vanities and bathroom fixtures pricey, ouch no make that double ouch.
Then we both came down with a head cold and Arizona finally decided to make that transition to winter in mid November. I've been wearing shorts and a tank top and living life in this beautiful "fall" weather.
But with the patience life is attempting to teach me and with winter arriving I'm sure we will have everything done by the end of December.
